Deleted messages (WhatsApp)
A message removed after sending, which WhatsApp leaves a placeholder for in the export — the text itself is gone for everyone, permanently.
WhatsApp’s "delete for everyone" removes a message from every device in the conversation, but it doesn’t erase the fact that a message was sent at that moment — the export still shows a line, timestamped, with the sender’s name, and a note that a message was deleted. What it can’t show is what the message said, because that content was never retained anywhere once deletion completed; no chat-analysis tool, this one included, has any way to recover it.

A chat with 38 deleted messages out of 29,433 total is unremarkable — most deletions are typos or a wrong photo sent to the wrong chat, not anything more significant.

Can this app or any other recover what a deleted message said?+
No. Once a message is deleted for everyone, its text isn’t present anywhere in the export — there’s nothing left to read, by this app or any other tool working from the same file.
Is "deleted for everyone" different from "deleted for me"?+
Yes — "delete for me" only removes the message from your own device and leaves it untouched everywhere else, so it wouldn’t appear as deleted in an export taken from someone else’s phone at all.
